We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Hornsby where their biggest opponent Sydney City Comets (3-1) were defeated by third ranked Spiders (4-1) 85-72 on Sunday. It was a key game for the top position in League. Sydney City Comets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Kulvir Grewal who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and Darcy Emery who added 23 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Spiders players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Tom Dawson (197) responded with 6 points and 18 rebounds and Alex Overs scored 15 points. Sydney City Comets' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Spiders keep a position of League leader. Loser Sydney City Comets dropped to the third place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
