Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Salta Basket (19-17) outscored at home 7th ranked Mitre Tuc. (10-26) 87-68 on Monday. They outrebounded Mitre Tuc. 34-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. Salta Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward LaQuan Prowell (203-84, college: Auburn) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and Alejandro Zurbriggen (194-95) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Salta Basket players scored in double figures. Salta Basket's coach Ricardo De Cecco used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) responded with 20 points and power forward Luis Arganaraz (199-85) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Salta Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Barrio Parque. Mitre Tuc. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 26 games lost.
