Leading Union SF (24-12) recorded its twelfth loss in Santa Fe. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Comunicaciones (27-9) 83-75. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Comunicaciones dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Union SF's 24. The winners were led by forward Nicolas Lauria (202-88) who scored that evening 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Cameroonian power forward Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
