Regular Season Round 10: DELTA - SEU Tbilisi 86-47

A League top team - DELTA (8-2) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked SEU Tbilisi (0-10) 86-47. The game without a history. DELTA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SEU Tbilisi to just 6 points in fourth quarter. DELTA dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to SEU Tbilisi's 22. They outrebounded SEU Tbilisi 40-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. DELTA looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) fired 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Kelvin Downs (206, college: Arkansas St.) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four DELTA players scored in double figures. DELTA's coach Legso Lapanashvili felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Davit Maisuradze (205-90) produced 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Kakha Giorgadze (197-94) added 11 points respectively for lost side. DELTA have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted DELTA maintains first position with 8-2 record. Loser SEU Tbilisi still closes the standings with ten games lost. DELTA will meet at home Arena-76 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SEU Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Hyundai-TSU.
