Regular Season Round 25: Hapoel Migd.H. - Hapoel K/S 87-96

Date: March 28, 2017
Very expected game in Tarshicha where 11th ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (10-15) was defeated by second ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (17-8) 96-87. Hapoel Kfar Saba forced 20 Hapoel Migd.H. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Hapoel Migd.H.'s players. Hapoel Kfar Saba brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Terrence Watson (200-87, college: Ball St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 blocks (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Denzel Livingston (193-93, college: Incarnate Word) accounted for 21 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Hapoel Kfar Saba's coach Barak Dmzian used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-93, college: Chicago St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Eliav Ohanon (199-94) added 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Hapoel Migd.H. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hapoel Kfar Saba. They used an opportunity after Maccabi Raanana lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Hapoel Migd.H. lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba's next round opponent will be Hasharon (#6) in Hod Hasharon which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Migd.H. will play on the road against Hapoel B/S (#4) in Beer Sheva and hope to win that game.
