Regular Season Round 5: Guasave - Los Mochis 96-90

Bottom-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Frayles de Guasave (3-1) 96-90. Frayles de Guasave shot 61.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Frayles de Guasave players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St., agency: Interperformances) who scored 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 19 points and 8 assists. Forward A'Darius Pegues (208-89, college: Campbellsville) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) added 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Frayles de Guasave moved-up to second place, which they share with Hermosillo and Navolato. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Frayles de Guasave's next round opponent will be Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#6) on the road. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
