Regular Season Round 12: Barsy Atyrau - Kaspiy Aktau 80-90

An interesting game for Kaspiy Aktau (2-14) which played road game in Atyrau against second-best Barsy Atyrau (6-10). Third ranked Kaspiy Aktau managed to get a 10-point victory 90-80. Kaspiy Aktau had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kaspiy Aktau especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Sean Hill (188-92, college: Chicago St.) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Azim Yagodkin (185-92) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Kaspiy Aktau's coach Mikhail Karpenko allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was international forward Pavel Micheev (201-83) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Mikhail Yevstigneyev (201-84) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Barsy Atyrau players scored in double figures. Kaspiy Aktau maintains third position with 2-14 record having fourteen points less than leader Astana. Barsy Atyrau lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the second place with ten games lost.
