There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Milano Urania (12-14) beat at home higher ranked Faenza (16-10) 73-59 on Thursday. Faenza was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Simone Ferrarese (182-87) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Luigi Boero (185-85) replied with 16 points and point guard Marco Perin (183-93) added 13 points in the effort for Faenza. Faenza's coach Marco Regazzi tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Milano Urania moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Faenza keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Milano Urania will face Vicenza (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Faenza will play against the league's second-placed Bergamo (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
