Regular Season Round 25: Torun - Polfarmex Kutno 98-77

There was no surprise in Torun where 16th ranked Polfarmex (4-22) was outplayed by fourth ranked Twarde Pierniki (18-9) 98-77. They made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Twarde Pierniki players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton Co. CC, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St.) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Jacek Jarecki (196-88) answered with 19 points and point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) added 9 points and 10 assists in the effort for Polfarmex. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Twarde Pierniki maintains fourth place with 18-9 record. Polfarmex lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 22 games lost. Twarde Pierniki's next round opponent will be AZS Koszalin (#15) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Polfarmex will play against Trefl and hope to win that game.
