An interesting game for Barsy Atyrau (6-10) which hosted in Atyrau one of their biggest challengers Kaspiy Aktau (2-14). Second ranked Barsy Atyrau had an easy win 95-67. Barsy Atyrau looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Trevin Parks (180-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 8 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Ryan Cook (191-90, college: UMBC, agency: HMS) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Cook is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Barsy Atyrau players scored in double figures. Forward Denis Degtyarev (200-90) replied with 18 points and the former international forward Vitaliy Lapchenko (207-92) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kaspiy Aktau. Kaspiy Aktau's coach Mikhail Karpenko gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-10 record having ten points less than leader Astana. Kaspiy Aktau at the other side stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost.
