Regular Season Round 25: Bourg - Boulazac 78-60

Leader JL Bourg delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Boulazac Basket (13-12) 78-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. It looked good early as Boulazac Basket took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then JL Bourg had a 16-14 second period charge getting the lead and Boulazac Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-78. JL Bourg made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) answered with 11 points and Jerome Sanchez (197-90) added 14 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg maintains first place with 18-7 record. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Evreux and Poitiers. JL Bourg will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#5) on the road in the next round. Boulazac Basket will play against STB Le Havre and hopes to get back on the winning track.
