Regular Season Round 24: Parnu - Valga 74-90

There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Parnu (17-15) lost at home to sixth ranked Valga (12-20) 90-74 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-74. It was a good game for Latvian guard Sandis Silavs (194-88) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Deandre Mathieu (175, college: Minnesota, agency: Two Points) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Valga's coach Kristaps Zeids used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, agency: 011 Sports) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Mihkel Kirves (190-96) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Parnu. Five Valga and four Parnu players scored in double figures. Valga have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-20 record, which they share with TLU/Kalev. Loser Parnu keeps the fourth place with 15 games lost.
