Regular Season Round 50: Ryukyu GK - Nagoya DD 82-76

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Diamond Dolphins (23-25) against fifth ranked Ryukyu GK (23-25) on Saturday night. Visiting Diamond Dolphins were defeated by Ryukyu GK in a tough game in Okinawa 76-82. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Diamond Dolphins 44-29 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Ryukyu GK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Takaya Sasayama (178-93) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Diamond Dolphins' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ryukyu GK moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Osaka Evessa. Ryukyu GK will face again Diamond Dolphins (#3) in Nagoya in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
