Very expected game when 13th ranked CREF Hola (7-19) lost to ninth ranked Al-Qazeres (11-15) in Caceres 64-82 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 18 points. Al-Qazeres dominated on the defensive end, holding CREF Hola to just 7 points in third quarter. American guard Ameryst Alston (175-93, college: Ohio St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import power forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Al-Qazeres players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina, agency: ProDep Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, agency: ProDep Management) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for CREF Hola.
