An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Luxembourg. First ranked Racing faced 3rd placed Kordall Steelers. Host Racing (24-2) smashed guests from Rodange (16-10) 82-62. Racing dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kordall Steelers' 26. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Mark Ogden (206-94, college: Dixie St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and swingman Scott Morton (195-87, college: Geneseo St.) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Racing players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: Mass.-Lowell) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: Cleveland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Newly promoted Racing maintains first place in League with 24-2 record. Kordall Steelers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with ten games lost. Racing will meet BC Mess (#4) in the next round. Kordall Steelers will play against the league's second-placed Residence and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
