The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Rotterdam's (4-21) road loss to sixth ranked Royal Eagles (7-16) 52-74. Royal Eagles forced 21 Rotterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 57-33 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Royal Eagles players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Point guard Anne van-Vlijmen (162-99) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and guard Laura Westerik (170-98) accounted for 20 points and 10 rebounds. Royal Eagles' coach Chris Van Kampen felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tete Bartelds came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Linda Van-Schaik (177-0) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for Rotterdam in the defeat. Newly promoted Royal Eagles maintains sixth place with 7-16 record. Rotterdam lost third consecutive game. Rotterdam at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 21 games lost. Royal Eagles will play against higher ranked Loon Lions (#3) in Landsmeer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rotterdam will play at home against Den Helder (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
