Very expected game when 14th ranked Firenze Enic (9-18) was defeated at home by fourth ranked San Miniato (16-11) 67-54 on Saturday. San Miniato dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Firenze Enic's 16. San Miniato forced 25 Firenze Enic turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Gabriele Giarelli (197-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-95, agency: Players Group) helped adding 11 points. San Miniato's coach Federico Barsotti used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
