There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Moron (14-13) lost on the road to tenth ranked Alcazar (14-13) 79-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 30-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Alcazar made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Moron turnovers. It was a good game for Croatian forward Jure Gunjina (203-92, college: Georgia SW) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Jesus Chagoyen (202-78) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Javier Marin (190-92) added 14 points in the effort for Moron. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alcazar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Moron. Alcazar will face higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
