The game in Piraeus was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked Faros (17-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Ethnikos (13-11). Ethnikos managed to secure a 5-point victory 91-86. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Faros. Faros was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Kostas Macheras (205-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Paraskeva Martzos (197-85) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Nikos Liakopoulos (188-83) replied with 19 points and 5 assists and guard Giannis Dimakos (192-94) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Faros. Four Ethnikos and five Faros players scored in double figures. Ethnikos maintains sixth position with 13-11 record, which they share with Holargos and Psychiko. Faros at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Ethnikos will play against Amyntas Dafnis (#10) in Athens in the next round. Faros will play at home against the league's leader Panionios (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
