No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked JSF Nanterre (17-8) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Sluc Nancy (6-19) 78-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Strangely Sluc Nancy outrebounded JSF Nanterre 52-31 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Mathias Lessort (205-95) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Montenegrin point guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 28 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. JSF Nanterre maintains fourth place with 17-8 record. Loser Sluc Nancy stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. JSF Nanterre will meet at home JDA Dijon (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sluc Nancy will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#10) and hope to secure a win.
