Regular Season Round 27: Roma Luiss - Roma Vis Nova 81-82

There was an upset when higher ranked Roma Luiss (14-13) were edged at home by twelfth ranked Roma Vis Nova (9-16) 82-81 on Saturday. Roma Luiss were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Giacomo Barraco (205-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Tommaso Rossetti (185-88) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Roma Vis Nova's coach Luciano Bongiorno used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Leonardo Marcon (189-95) with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92) scored 19 points. Five Roma Vis Nova and four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Roma Vis Nova maintains twelfth place in B with 9-16 record. Loser Roma Luiss dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Roma Vis Nova will face Patti (#13) at home in the next round.
