Regular Season Round 51: Iwate Big Bulls - Aomori Watts 89-91

Sixth-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (12-37) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Aomori Watts (22-27). The visitors from Aomori managed to secure only two-point victory 91-89. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Iwate Big Bulls. It was a great evening for American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) helped adding 22 points. The best for the losing side was guard Ohara Yoko (186-89) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aomori Watts and five Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aomori Watts maintains fifth place with 22-27 record. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side keep the sixth position with 37 games lost. Aomori Watts will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against Aomori Watts (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
