Regular Season Round 24: Peja - Trepca 109-86

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Trepca (16-8) against fourth ranked Peja (16-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Trepca was crushed by Peja in Peje 109-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trepca. The game was mostly controlled by Peja. Trepca was better in second period 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Trepca's 38. They outrebounded Trepca 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Peja players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Alban Veseli (202-90) who scored that evening 30 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) supported him with 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Peja's coach Aleksandar Todorov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals by American guard Montrael Scott (190-93, college: Prairie View A&M) did not help to save the game for Trepca. Montenegrin forward Nikola Ljujic (202-91) added 24 points and 10 rebounds. Four Trepca players scored in double figures. Peja have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Trepca at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Peja will play against league's leader Sigal Prishtina on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trepca will play against Rahoveci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
