Second Stage Round 9: Heffingen - BC Mess 87-55

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Heffingen. Second ranked Heffingen faced 4th placed BC Mess. Host Heffingen (18-8) smashed guests from Mondercange (12-14) 87-55. Heffingen forced 21 BC Mess turnovers and outrebounded them 50-28 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian swingman Nikola Pavlovic (195-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Heffingen players scored in double figures. Uruguayan forward Facundo Alonso (195) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Elijah Bonsignore (198, college: S.New Hampshire) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for BC Mess. BC Mess' coach Nigel Tolentino gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains second place in League with 18-8 record having six points less than leader Amicale. BC Mess at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. Heffingen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BC Mess will play at home against the league's leader Racing (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
