Regular Season Round 24: SIG - CFBB 70-53

The game between ninth ranked SIG (11-13) and 14th ranked CFBB (4-20) in llkirch-Graff. on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. SIG beat guests from Paris 70-53. The game without a history. SIG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 CFBB turnovers. Strangely CFBB outrebounded SIG 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists. Forward Rejane Verin (185-93, college: Cal-Riverside) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. SIG's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Kadiatou Sissoko (180-99) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Tima Pouye (176-99) added 17 points in the effort for CFBB. SIG maintains ninth position with 11-13 record. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. SIG will face higher ranked Bretagne Basket (#3) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. CFBB will play at home against Limoges (#11) and hope to win that game.
