There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Cagliari CUS (5-18) defeated at home higher ranked Scrivia (14-10) 61-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cagliari CUS. Scrivia was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Cagliari CUS forced 20 Scrivia turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian Julita Bungaite (187-87, college: Hawaii, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Rachele Niola (172-93) who added 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Finnish forward Krista Gross (183-90, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard Silvia Gabba (170-82) scored 9 points. Cagliari CUS moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Loser Scrivia keeps the seventh position with ten games lost.
