We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Venafro (9-15) edged at home 11th ranked Giulianova (9-17) 70-69 on Sunday. They outrebounded Giulianova 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Marco Rossi (183-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (199-82) helped adding 22 points and 4 steals. Four Venafro players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Riccardo Bartolozzi (202-95) with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Simone Colonnelli (185-91) scored 14 points. Venafro moved-up to eleventh place in B. Loser Giulianova dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Venafro will face league's second-placed Bisceglie on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giulianova will play against Matera (#6) and hope to win that game.
