A1 top team - Olympiacos (20-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Terpsithea (1-19) in Ellinikou 100-44. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Terpsithea's 26. They outrebounded Terpsithea 55-19 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Terpsithea's players. The winners were led by the former international forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: ProDep Management) who scored that evening 16 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Bosnian-American center Lynetta Kizer (193-90, college: Maryland) supported her with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. Olympiacos' coach Eleni Kapogianni felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by forward Fani Tzarou (178-95) did not help to save the game for Terpsithea. Forward Christina Babi (178-96) added 12 points for the guests. Olympiacos have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-0 record. Terpsithea lost eighteenth consecutive game.
