Second Stage Round 11: LF Future - AIK 97-102

The game between Top Four teams took place in Lulea. 4th placed host LF Future (5-8) lost to second ranked AIK (12-1) 102-97. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But LF Future won fourth quarter 35-34. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AIK made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. AIK outrebounded LF Future 36-25 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by LF Future's players. It was a great evening for Turkish guard Erkan Inan (195-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Serkan Inan (201-86) helped adding 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. AIK's coach Stefan Jovanovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Brian Curry (185-86) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and guard Joel Svensson (185-96) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. AIK keeps a position of Superettan leader. Loser LF Future dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. AIK will face Wetterbygden (#7) in Huskvarna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. LF Future will play at home against Hogsbo and hope to win that game.
