Very expected game when 5th ranked Yokohama BC (15-34) was smashed at home by first ranked Toshiba Thunders (41-8) 77-57 on Sunday. It was a good game for American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (210-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) added 13 points in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. They maintain first place with 41-8 record. Yokohama BC lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 34 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face league's second-placed Sanen Neophoenix in Hamamatsu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yokohama BC will play on the road against Hitachi Sunrockers in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
