Regular Season Round 52: Cyberdyne IR - Fukushima 83-73

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Fukushima (26-24) against fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (24-26) on Sunday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba 83-73. Cyberdyne IR dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Cyberdyne IR's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and guard Shota Kanno (187-92) scored 16 points. Five Cyberdyne IR and four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 24-26 record. Fukushima lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the second place with 24 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round. Fukushima will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
