Second Stage Round 3: Louaize - Sagesse 79-70

The game between Top Four teams took place in Zouk. host Louaize (11-10) defeated Sagesse (6-15) 79-70. It looked good early as Sagesse took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Louaize had a 25-14 second period charge getting the lead and Sagesse was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-79. Louaize dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sagesse's 34. It was a good game for international guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St., agency: HMS) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Calvin Godfrey (206-90, college: Memphis) added 23 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sagesse. Louaize's next round opponent will be Byblos at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sagesse's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Homenetmen.
