Regular Season Round 4: Contagem - Joinville 92-90

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Liga Ouro took place in Contagem. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Joinville (3-3) to second ranked Contagem (6-2) 92-90 in the game for the second place. At the losing side Maxwell Dias (198-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Joinville's coach George Salles tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Contagem maintains second position with 6-2 record behind leader Botafogo F.R. Joinville at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Contagem are looking forward to face Blumenau (#4) in the next round. Joinville will play against Brusque and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
