Regular Season Round 25: Polpharma - MKS DG 62-69

Everything could happen in Starogard at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and 10th ranked Polpharma had identical 14-12 record. But Polpharma was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Dabrowa Gornicza 69-62. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Polpharma's 18. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kerron Johnson (183-90, college: Belmont) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Bartlomiej Woloszyn (196-86) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza's coach Drazen Anzulovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Marcin Flieger (185-84, agency: Promotex) answered with 22 points and Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Polpharma. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (15-12) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Krosno and PGE Turow. Polpharma at the other side keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza's next round opponent will be Wilki Morskie (#11) in Szczecin. Polpharma will play on the road against Krosno and hope to win that game.
