Second Stage Round 3: Champville - Tadamon 76-92

Very important is a home loss of Champville (8-13) against Tadamon (8-13) on Sunday night. Host Champville was defeated by Tadamon in Dik El Mehdi 92-76. The game was mostly controlled by Tadamon. Champville was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tadamon dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Champville's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina, agency: Duran International) accounted for 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Champville in the defeat. Tadamon will play against Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Champville will play at home against Al Moutahed and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
