Regular Season Round 25: Hapoel Holon - Hapoel T-A 100-102

Important game to mention about took place in Holon. Seventh ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-12) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked Hapoel Holon (17-8) 102-100 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Holon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: N.Carolina St.) nailed 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman James Bell (197-92, college: Villanova) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Shlomi Harush (185-87) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Holon in the defeat. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv and four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hapoel J-M and Maccabi Haifa. Hapoel Holon at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Ironi Nahariya (#8) at home in the next round. Hapoel Holon will play against Bnei Hasharon (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
