Regular Season Round 27: Palestrina - Barcellona 69-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Palestrina's (21-7) home victory over 4th placed Basket Barcellona (19-7) 69-65 on Sunday. It was a great evening for point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 5 assists. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. Palestrina's coach Gianluca Lulli used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos-Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) scored 6 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Palestrina maintains third place in B with 21-7 record behind leader Montegrano. Loser Basket Barcellona keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Palestrina will face Cefalu (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Basket Barcellona will play against Teramo (#10) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
