Date: April 2, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Faenza (16-11) was defeated at home by second ranked Bergamo (22-5) 86-77 on Sunday. Bergamo made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for power forward Rei Pullazi (203-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian Mario-Jose Ghersetti (201-81) helped adding 18 points. Five Bergamo players scored in double figures. Faenza's coach Marco Regazzi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bergamo maintains second place in B with 22-5 record having just two point less than leader Montegrano. Faenza lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Bergamo will face San Vendemiano (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Lecco (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
