Regular Season Round 26: St Quentin - Poitiers 61-75

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Poitiers (14-12) beat on the road 12th ranked Saint-Quentin (11-15) 75-61. It looked good early as Saint-Quentin took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Poitiers took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 14 points. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Senegalese center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90) produced 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Malela Mutuale (188-91) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Poitiers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Saint-Quentin at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Poitiers' next round opponent will be SPO Rouen (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. Saint-Quentin will play against Denain Voltaire and hope to win that game.
