Regular Season Round 26: Le Havre - Boulazac 64-65

Important game to mention about took place in Le Havre. Seventh ranked Boulazac Basket (14-12) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers STB Le Havre (14-12) 65-64 in the fight for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of STB Le Havre. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 19-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. Boulazac Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Thomas Gipson (201-93, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Boulazac Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated STB Le Havre. Boulazac Basket will play against ADA Blois (#5) at home in the next round. STB Le Havre will play against Chorale de Roanne and hopes to get back on the winning track.
