Second Stage Round 4: Louaize - Byblos 84-90
Date: April 5, 2017
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zouk. Second ranked Byblos faced one of their biggest challengers Louaize. Guests from Byblos (16-6) defeated host Louaize (11-11) 90-84. The winners were led by French power forward Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: BeoBasket) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Steven Roundtree (206, college: William Penn) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Byblos players scored in double figures. Even 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by international guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Louaize. American Travis McKie (201-92, college: Wake Forest, agency: Diamond Sports) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Byblos maintains second position in LBL with 16-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Al Riyadi. Louaize at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Byblos' next round opponent will be Sagesse (#4) in Beirut. Louaize will play on the road against the league's leader Homenetmen in Beirut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
