Regular Season Round 28: Aalstar - Kangoeroes 95-87

Date: April 5, 2017
The game in Aalstar was quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Kangoeroes (15-13) played at the court of fifth ranked Okapi Aalstar (15-14). Okapi Aalstar managed to secure a 8-point victory 95-87 on Wednesday. Okapi Aalstar made 29-of-32 free shots (90.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (196-89, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian-American point guard Ben Uzoh (191-88, college: Tulsa) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Troisfontaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kangoeroes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar maintains fifth position with 15-14 record. Kangoeroes at the other side keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Okapi Aalstar are looking forward to face higher ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kangoeroes will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
