Finals Game 1: Kibirkstis - Fortuna 75-56

Kibirkstis rallied past Fortuna in the consolation finals opener. The game was mostly controlled by Kibirkstis. Fortuna managed to win second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fortuna to just 6 points in first quarter. Kibirkstis dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Fortuna's 34. They outrebounded Fortuna 42-21 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. International center Laura Juskaite (187-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and international center Daugile Sarauskaite (196-96) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Kibirkstis' coach Jurgita Streimikyte used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international swingman Lina Aglinskaite (182-87) responded with 19 points and the former international guard Andra Andra Gabalyte (179-80, college: Liberty) scored 11 points and 4 assists.
