Regular Season Round 24: TTU - TLU/Kalev 73-80

Date: April 6, 2017
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: TLU/Kalev (#7) and TTU (#5). TTU was defeated at home 73-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TTU won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TLU/Kalev forced 19 TTU turnovers. The winners were led by Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93, agency: AproK Sports Group) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by the former international forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for TTU. Sander Viilup (190-97) added 8 points and 4 assists. TTU's coach Rait Kabin rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. TLU/Kalev (12-20) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valga. TTU lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost.
