Bottom-ranked Brusque (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 68-59 loss to third ranked Santos/Macapa (4-6) in on Thursday evening. Guard Luis-Fernando Lima (193-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Luiz Nepomuceno (193-95) chipped in 21 points. Santos/Macapa's coach Abdala Neto used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Swingman Durval Prado (200-92) responded with 7 points, 24 rebounds and 6 assists and center Rodrigo Silva (207-87) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Despite that victory Santos/Macapa went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Brusque still closes the standings with nine games lost.
