Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Melilla Baloncesto (18-13) and Castello (13-18), which took place in Castellon. Higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto lost to thirteenth ranked Castello in a road game 64-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Melilla Baloncesto. Melilla Baloncesto was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for point guard Joan Faner (176-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Federico Ucles (204-93) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Castello players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) responded with 15 points and forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castello moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Caceres and Araberri. Melilla Baloncesto at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Ourense and Coruna. Castello will play against higher ranked Leyma Basquet (#8) in Coruna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Melilla Baloncesto will play at home against the league's leader Gipuzkoa having rather not much hope for a victory.
