Regular Season Round 28: Moron - Gandia 86-75

Very expected game in Morón de la Frontera where 16th ranked Gandia (7-21) was defeated by sixth ranked Moron (15-13) 86-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Moron. Gandia was better in second period 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Moron especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyler Gaffaney (193-92, college: Claremont-Mudd) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Jose Jimenez (197-96) who added 17 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Gaffaney is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American center Shalawn Miller (205-74, college: Mass.-Lowell) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gandia players scored in double figures. Moron maintains sixth position with 15-13 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Gandia lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 21 games lost. Moron will face CB Tarragona 2017 (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gandia will play against Meridiano Alicante and hope to win that game.
