Regular Season Round 27: Easo - Estela 70-77

Rather predictable result in San Sebastian where first ranked Estela (21-3) beat 3rd placed Easo (17-7) 77-70 on Saturday. Easo trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 21-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-77 at the end of the game. Estela shot 60.5 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was Pablo Sanchez (198-81) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who recorded 10 points and point guard Inaki Nagore (174-91) added 11 points respectively. Four Easo players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estela maintains first place in Group A-A with 21-3 record. Loser Easo keeps the third position with seven games lost. Estela will face TAKE Tolosa (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Easo will play against Valladolid Univ. (#6) and hope to win that game.
