Regular Season Round 27: Tenerife Naut. - Real Canoe 64-60

Round 27 in EBA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Santa Cruz where host Tenerife Naut. (16-9) beat league's leader Real Canoe (20-7) 64-60 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Cuban power forward Georffri Silvestre (202-79) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Bosnian forward Adnan Omeragic (201-96) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ignacio Fort (200-83) who recorded 9 points and 6 rebounds and center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tenerife Naut. maintains sixth place in Group B with 16-9 record. Real Canoe lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Chantada. Real Canoe will play next round against CB Guadalajara trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Tenerife Naut. will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Rivas on the road.
