Regular Season Round 19: Kanazawa Sam. - Saitama Bron. 91-57

B League D3 top team - Kanazawa Sam. (31-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (12-22) in Ishikawa 91-57. Kanazawa Sam. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 36. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 47-32 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. American forward Tiras Wade (200-81, college: La-Lafayette) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Kanazawa Sam.. They maintain first place with 31-3 record. Saitama Broncos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 22 games lost. Kanazawa Sam.'s next round opponent will be Otsuka A. (#4) in Tokyo. Saitama Broncos will play at home against the league's second-placed Fukuoka Rizing and hope to win that game.
